Music

I had the honor of meeting a great video director yesterday, Stan Clawon; as I watched two of his videos online: Personal Rockstar and Continue one being on youtube.com, of course more choices are available for viewing so I click on one: The Piano Guys and am amazed at the beauty and talent, couldn't stop at one video. Then I learn they two guys are from Utah, cool!  Maybe some of you already knew about the one, I didn't though.

Can't ... stop ... clicking ...and ... listening ...

Cuckoo for Coconut!

Coconut oil has been in the front for awhile now with all of the health benefits; I am new to this great item and of course still learning of all the uses for it, here is a website which lists 80: 80 Uses for Coconut Oil .

Kaya has been getting some in her food for a couple weeks now and today I put some in our fruit smoothies...yummy!  I am curious to know how you use it, please comment!

Work-Life Balance

I just got out of an inspiring luncheon where a business woman, wife and mother spoke of her success in each field.  To hear of her tragedy and trials in her family, the time she takes for her kids and her husband and how she continues to succeed within her company was touching.  The best part of her speech and how she answered our questions have shown me that she continues to search for answers and better ways to accomplish her daily and life goals; she works from home so I asked how she found her attention again toward work after small or huge interruptions, i.e. taking the dog outside, getting food prepared, eaten and cleaned up, when her husband and kids came home.  She answered with, "I don't know.  Sometimes it takes a long time to get focused again. I don't have this mastered."  And this is when I truly found respect for her because too often I have heard from successful women, "I have work and life all figured out!"  Bull shit if they do.

From this luncheon, I think I am going to make myself a "Work/Life Balance" spreadsheet that I can post on a wall so I can visually see everyday where I need to focus more attention to.  I want balance, at least a lot more than I have today.

Happiness of Life...Unveiled!

The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

The Toxic Baby?

As I am researching great minds work for my environmental sociology research paper, I came across this TED Talk, Tyrone Hayes + Penelope Jagessar Chaffer: The toxic baby?, even though I consider myself quite knowledgeable about the horrible chemicals we are emitting into our environments daily, I was unclear somewhat of how these chemicals are absorbed and fed to the babies in the wombs of their mothers; even though I knew these unborn babies are being harmed.

Puts a newer perspective into my opinion and my practices.

I am leaving

Just as bad, or worse, than Facebook...I am outta there!  Read this article, Pinterest, then log onto your Pinterest account and read their own "terms of service" and decide for yourself, as for I my friend, gone with this tech fad just as I pulled the plug on facebook.

Good luck, its a crazy world out there.

Cheers!

And Man created

And Man created the plastic bag and the tin and aluminum can and the cellophane wrapper and the paper plate, and this was good because Man could then take his automobile and buy all his food in one place and He could save that which was good to eat in the refrigerator and throw away that which had no further use.  And soon the earth was covered with plastic bags and aluminum cans and paper plates and disposable bottles and there was nowhere to sit down or walk, and Man shook his head and cried:  "Look at this Godawful mess."

Eagle Eye

It is an eagle, not a hawk. A few days ago I viewed a cut out of a hawks wing span and one of an eagles, this beauty is definitely an eagle!   I have never seen an eagle dressed in brown, but they obviously do exist.
