Lucky Day

Braving the snow storm outside to get my hairs cut, I find a few treasures.  JC Penny was having an awesome sale on most of their merchandise, but I was more attracted to their bedding section, since I have no bedding (no bed yet, but in time that will come too).

Finally making my way out of JC Penny, I get to the salon where I am treated with an invigorating shampoo followed with a relaxing trim and ended it with a style.  As I am paying for this service, with satisfaction clearly stated on my face, I am handed a $5 off coupon for my next visit, wahoo!  And, because I spent a healthy amount they require to participate in their drawing, I excitingly grab a small piece of folded paper from a large bag filled with perhaps 200 of these papers; I open my folded paper to read that my next hair cut there is FREE!

And now back to homework, I have two of my best friends by my feet; they are so lovable, hugable,  and kissable,  and to hear them snoring contently is blissful!

I love today!

Valentine's ~ How Sweet It Is

This year's Valentine's Day was great and eventful.  I spent it with a cute, sweet, smart, sexy guy!  As I am quickly approaching his house my car drops something and quickly becomes loud, I mean LOUD!  Of course I panic for 1/2 a second, any longer and I could have lost all control (of myself, not the car).  Once I realize the car is still in motion, forward motion, and the temperature gauge is not rising, no other lights but my check engine light is on (this light has been on since December), I don't have any smoke or flames coming from anywhere around the car, I call my cute boy and tried to calmly say, "My car is breaking, right now."

Luckily we (me, Rose, and the car) made it to his house safely.  Greg crawls onto the ground to look underneath the car and sure enough, something dropped.  My catalytic converter fell, still attached to the muffler, being dragged along on I-15 for maybe five miles...ouch!

But first, the spoiling...

Breakfast was a scrumptious french toast, each piece grilled to a flawless texture melting in my mouth.  The sweet aroma filling the kitchen, a buttery syrup complimenting the french toast mixture of fresh eggs with the  perfect amount of cinnamon and a few other secret ingredients; yes I did say the eggs were fresh, thanks to DeeDee and Crystal!   It was easy to eat slowly and let my mouth make sweet love to each and every bite of the three pieces I happily ate.

Back to my car see if Greg can tie the fallen catalytic converter back up until I take it in to my mechanic, which I have made the appointment for the up coming Tuesday days ago, or if he will need to take it off.  Verdict comes back with having to take the cat converter off.  Not longer after the decision, all of his tools were excitingly laying by the Honda.  As a huge side note, I did not hear him get frustrated during this removal process!  Holy shit, seriously?   Seriously!  Either my car behaved well or he just doesn't let this stuff get to him.  Maybe a little bit of both.

The catalytic converter finally falls to the ground, just then its realized that the muffler also needs to come off.  My god, I drove around town in a Honda Civic with no muffler... please, no name calling or profiling.  Driving to school and back on Monday was so loud, and driving to Skiba Auto on Tuesday was not any quieter, but I sure was gangster cool.

Upon returning to Greg's Monday evening after school, we slide right in to the quietest place on Valentine's night... we are smart, we went to the grocery store to buy all items needed for another of his mouthwatering meals with a cozy table reserved for two.  Fettuccine Alfredo is on the menu with a delectable glass of Cabernet Sauvignon (the second glass was just as tasty).  And the music selection added so much energy and romance to the rooms, couldn't help to sing-a-long for a couple songs and dance to many.

It seems I have kept this boy busy with foods and cars for one day; on a new note, I did not hear him complain once.  One day I will cook for him, one day.  But the car stuff I will leave solely to him.

What's That Around Your Dog's Collar?

Sunday's sun thawing the frozen ground brings an over whelming feeling of Spring and happiness inside me.  I don a skort and a short sleeve shirt baring my extreme white legs and arms in hopes the sun finds them and doesn't shy away from them to give me a kiss of color.  My sister Wendy and I load up our dogs into my car and go to a nearby park.  The park we choose has a walk way surrounding a large pond filled with beautiful ducks coupled together and magnificent swans busy cleaning themselves; with a gaggle of these feathered beauties, it means the pathways and lawns are littered with poop, therefore a game forms, step around and jump over these piles while running into each other and tripping over our pooches, all the while trying to keep our shoes free of the puke green poo.  We both won the game thankfully!

It so happens that I left Rose's leash at a cute boy's house, but I didn't think she would need one since she is older and doesn't travel as fast, and being a Sunday in Utah County (religious folks who do not like to have much fun on Sunday's) I didn't think there would be many people at the park; I was wrong!  Rose was traveling faster than I could keep up with and there were enough people there for her to run up to excitingly and hope for attention or food.  maMy quick thinking mind responded by grabbing a plastic grocery bag I held along with a couple other poo bags, and thread it through her collar for a make shift leash.  You can vividly imgaine the looks I was getting.  In fact, a young girl eyeballing the two dogs and smiling at them asked me what kind of dog mine is, I tell her a "Labrador" and then she asks what is around her neck, her older matter-of-factually telling her, "its a poo bag!"  The kids no dummy!

So in a short, I was proud to be white trash for a couple rounds around the gorgeous park with my white trash dog!  Poor Wendy and Cocoa were quite embarrassed though, it took a lot of convincing on my part for Cocoa to get in this above picture with Rose.

Yep, here's another...

Yes, another horoscope; they are fun for me to read each day, where sometimes I will chuckle while thinking, "Where did they pull that out of?" Where other times, like today, I think, "Wow, how did they know my thoughts and the words I typed out the other night?  Are they spying on me?  Who are 'they' anyway?"

What ever the reason, spying or the universe speaking, it is awesome to read words put together like this.
